If a car continues to be driven timing belt with a water pump leak ruin them?
I sold my 2001 Honda Civic. I had my car shop taken after the coolant leak and they said the water pump was leaking. My car overheated, because I never stopped them go as soon as I saw the coolant. I had replaced my water pump and timing belt had two years ago when it was recommended, so I'm not really sure why it went. I decided the car sell as is and a new one. The person I sold the car (who knew the water pump) drove the car home for about 30 miles. The next day he I drove the car to the shop think, stopped the car and the mechanic said that it was the timing belt. Can the car take the water pump leaking influence the timing belt? I ask because he is trying for a few money-back-to ask, but I do not feel like it was my fault. He has the papers, where I replaced the timing belt and water pump and new water pump was leaking. It was his decision to know the car that had a problem to drive.
NOTE: For most Hondas, the water pump through the Trimming belt is driven, and if he was so stupid to drive it in this state thats not drive his own fault, and the dose necessary or get back any money.
